Tai Chi Easy™ is a carefully developed method and approach to Tai Chi and Qi (Chi) cultivation (designed by Dr. Roger Jahnke) that makes it easy, beneficial and fun from the very beginning. The student does not have to devote years to learning the traditional 108 movement form or even the shortened (24, 36, 42 movement) form to enjoy the calming emotional and health benefits if Tai Chi.
The Tai Chi Easy™ methods are designed to improve the quality of life of all ages- whether well or unwell. This includes those who may be dealing with disease, chronic pain and health conditions, limited mobility, deficient immune system, anxiety or depression. According to Roger Jahnke, O.M.D, Director and Lead Trainer of the Institute of Integral Qigong and TaiChi, author of 2 books (The Healer Within & The Healing Promise of Qi) and Scott White’s teacher,

“The practice (of Tai Chi) triggers health and healing benefits from both the Asian paradigm of energy and the Western paradigm of physiology. The balance and flow of one's internal self-healing energies is enhanced by the slow, intentful, meditative movements of Taiji. At the very same time the delivery of oxygen and nutrition from the blood to the tissues is improved. The lymph system's ability to eliminate metabolic by-products and transport immune cells is increased. The biochemical profile of the brain and nervous system is shifted toward recovery and healing.”

“The flowing movements of tai chi contain much inner strength, like water flowing in a river, beneath a tranquil surface there is a current of immense power, the power for healing and wellness.

With consistent practice, people will be able to feel the internal energy (qi 氣), convert it to internal force (jing 勁) and use it to generate more internal energy. This process would greatly enhance tai chi development, leading to a more balanced mental state; at the same time your fitness, agility and balance will improve. The unique feature of tai chi is that it is internal. Internal means building the inner strength from inside out, therefore you can continue to develop at any age.”

Qigong/Chi Kung- (pronounced chee gung) means energy cultivation or practice, and originated in China as far back as 500 AD. It is a mind-body moving meditation program that combines gentle, flowing movements with stretching, deep breathing, self-massage and mindfulness. Qigong is a restorative exercise that builds your vital (life) energy (Chi), improves posture and balance, decreases stress, induces a deep sense of inner peace and more. It is one of the 4 pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine- Acupuncture, Herbs, Chinese Massage and Qigong.

Both Qigong and Tai Chi have several ‘forms’ involving different patterns of movement, with Tai Chi forms often being longer and more complicated. Tai Chi and Qigong are ancient mind-body practices for Health Enhancement, Self-Care and Restorative Exercise.
Scott offers sessions that are easy to follow, yet allow students an opportunity to expand their practice over time.
